School Tycoon Review

School Tycoon is a PC game in which you manage a school by hiring staff, choosing the type of classrooms, putting classrooms wherever you want, and by adding decorations to the campus. One of the really cool things about this game is that you can add things to your school that real schools don't have, such as: Mini- golf courses, arcades, half-pipes, and etc. The graphics and sound are also pretty good and you also get to expel students and send them to detention whenever you want. You can also make your own students and spawn disasters.
When you make your school, you get to choose where to place it. You get to place it in farmland, beach areas, and city areas.
One of the most annoying things about this game is that there are always random disasters, such as: tornados, earthquakes, fire, and heavy rain, that occur. The disasters can destroy your buildings and cause you to spend a lot of money on repair. Also, this game can get pretty boring after a while.
This game is rated E for everyone by the ESRB and I recommend it for people who really like tycoons.

Lord of the Rings Online Review

Lord of the Rings Online is a game based on the "The Lord of the Rings" authored by J.R.R. Tolkien. The game is not 100% in line with the book. This game is a massively multiplayer online role playing game (MMORPG). In this game you can be an elf, human, dwarf, or hobbit.
When you make your character, you can choose from many classes such as: Burglar, Hunter, Guardian, Champion, Loremaster, Rune-Keeper, Minstrel, Captain, and Warden. Not all classes are available to all races.
This game has a very good storyline, great graphics, and great sound. A lot of the time spent on this game will be spent completing quests and earning gold and items. This game also allows you to have a pet to assist you in battles, to have a house, and to sell items to other players. Another great benefit is that you can form fellowships and kinships which are like guilds or clans. You can raid many different areas with your fellowship/kinship and can complete quests with your fellow kinship members or fellowship members. However, the best thing is that this game is FREE! This game used to be a pay-to-play, but is now free with an option to pay for a membership in order to receive benefits.
NOTE: You do not need to subscribe to have an incredible amount of fun. Subscribing doesn't make much of a difference in this game.
Note: A fellowship consists of up to 8 people and is not a full fledged guild. A full fledged guild would be a kinship and needs at least 8 people to form it.

CONS:
There are no player versus player matches, which mean players cannot fight against each other. Also, there are no evil races available to play as. Lastly, it takes an INCREDIBLY long time to download.

Alien Swarm Review

Alien Swarm is a third person shooter in which you play as one of four members of a team, and kill aliens, parasites, and alien eggs. This game only has a multiplayer mode and is FREE. The graphics are good and the sound is good. You can also level up and unlock weapons and gadgets for your player to use. There are several different classes you can play as. Each class has different weapons and gadgets available, but sometimes they share some weapons and gadgets. In this game there are 3 different levels of multiplayer servers: easy, medium, and hard. One of the best things about this game is the teamwork that takes place between the four players.

The aliens do contain some gore and alien blood and many of the aliens are ugly (if you know what I mean). However, I am unsure of the ESRB rating of this game. I would personally put this game between the Teen and Mature ratings.

Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 Review

Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 (I will just call it Modern Warfare 2) is an fps game that takes you into intense battles in modern times. The battles are fictitious, though, and are not really related to any modern battles going on right now in the real world. This game has a multi-player mode in which you can rise through the ranks and unlock many deadly weapons. This game is really fun and challenging. This is one of the MOST POPULAR games around. However, this will probably be replaced by the new Call of Duty Black Ops (I will try to get my hands on one so I can review it for you guys). This game will definitely give you a lot of hardcore action and It has a wonderful, but sometimes confusing, story line. This game is not one of those games you just finish over the weekend, this game requires you to spend a lot of time. I put a thumbs up for Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2
NOTE: This game is rated MATURE and I recommend it for people who can take the blood, gore, guts, and intense action it offers.

American Civil War: Gettysburg Review

Yikes! Where do I begin.... This turn-based game takes place during the time of the American Civil War. In this game you command either the North or South in a campaign made up of many missions and in a multi-player mode. There are five different kinds of units: General, Infantry, Militia, Cavalry, and Cannon. The general unit provides morale to the rest of the army. The infantry unit is a regular fighting unit and has nothing special. The militia unit is weaker than the infantry unit. The cavalry unit is pretty self explanatory..... The cannon unit is an artillery unit. As the leader of your army, you have several commands to execute and a few formations to organize your battalions into. This game will exercise your mind as you will be forced to use good strategies or face defeat. Another good feature is that you can zoom in on the battle waging between your army and your opponent and see the battle up close. The game also applies a fighting bonus depending on if you are on high ground and if you have cover. Although this game is good for the mind, the missions can be very hard and annoying (at least for me). When I could not beat any more levels I stopped playing the game. If you are looking for a long time on multi-player mode, this is not the game for it. From what I know and have experienced, not too many people play this game. If they did, there would be many multi-player matches available.

Battlefield 2142 Review

Battlefield 2142 is a game taking place during the year 2142. It is a time where the Pan Asian Coalition and the European Union must fight for the remaining land not taken by the ice age. In this game the weapons are high tech and you can play as several different classes. THIS IS BETTER THAN BATTLEFIELD 2: This is better than battlefield 2 because this game has more game modes, there are more weapons to unlock, accessories are available, and the classes are customizable. The new game mode is the Titan game mode. A titan in this game is a very large command ship. The goal of this game mode is to destroy your enemy's titan. This is also my favorite game mode. This game is really good and I totally recommend it.

Super Mario Galaxy 2 Review

Super Mario Galaxy 2 is a game available on the Wii. It is the sequel to Super Mario Galaxy. In this game, you lead Mario through many worlds, galaxies, and challenges. This is a great game that will keep you busy and will last a long time. It is not one of those games that you beat in one day and replace with another game the next day. Also, the game adds the ability to control Yoshi.
PROS:

• Will last a long time
• GREAT graphics
• GREAT background music
• GREAT storyline
• Well-made characters
• Well-made levels

CONS:

•  Levels can be pretty hard at times
• Many of the levels, characters, and objectives are copied from Super Mario Galaxy
• Lacks some originality

Battlefield 2 Review

Battlefield 2 is a first person shooter game where people can choose between several classes to be in the game. In this game the maps are control point maps, where you have to capture certain areas in the map. A multi-player mode also comes with the game. This game is pretty fun. In this game, as the player plays more, you gain rank and unlock certain good weapons. The bad thing is that there is a very limited amount of these unlockable weapons. Also, over time, the game gets boring and you will probably stop playing it. I do not really recommend this game to anyone who likes hardcore fps games like the Call of Duty series because this is not very hardcore. This game rated teen by the esrb and does not have any blood or gore.

Steam Review

Hi again, this is my review for the popular application Steam:

 Steam is an application which allows you to buy digital copies of games and to play it the same day. It provides unlimited digital downloads of the games you buy. This is not an illegal thing. Personally, I think that Steam is both good and bad. They have much to improve on. Besides from being an online store, steam has a community of video game players where people create their nicknames and can be friends with other users. They can also join groups. Multi-player games bought from steam use steam nicknames as their name for mulit-player play.
IMPORTANT CONS: Steam, even though it is not a big application, hogs a lot of your computers memory. I am talking from experience when I say that Steam SIGNIFICANTLY reduces the speed of your computer. Steam can cause the computer to not shut down properly or not shut down at all when told to. It also can cause the computer to crash.

Even though Steam can be extremely annoying, the unlimited digital downloads, special offers, and large selection of games make Steam worth it, as long as you have money ;).

Team Fortress 2 Review

Team Fortress 2 is a first person shooter where you get to choose between nine classes to play. In this games there are two teams: red and blue. The two teams fight against each other in capture the flag maps, control point maps, and other maps. The classes are: pyro, scout, engineer, heavy, medic, sniper, demoman, spy, and soldier. The descriptions of the classes will be shown in a comment to this post.

This game is really good. It is very relaxed and comical. The characters are not realistic and are kind of animated. This game packs a lot of action and will definitely get you stuck on the computer. There are many servers and most of them are not locked. You can have a lot of fun on this game. CONS: The game and servers take an annoying long time to load. You might spend five minutes or more just loading! There is also much lag when you join a server, which is shaken off after a few minutes. MORE PROS!: In this game you can earn many many items, such as: weapons, hats, accessories, and defensive items.
This game is really one that you can stick to a long time. THIS GAME IS A SOURCE ENGINE GAME! Because this is a source engine game, this releases access to Source Engine mods such as: Garry's Mod, Battlegrounds 2, and more!

In all, this game is really fun, but you need to have a lot of patience to withstand the annoying loading times.

Battlegrounds 2 Review

Battlegrounds 2 is a revolutionary war game in which you can fight as either the British or the Americans. They each have several classes. American classes: Continental Soldier, Continental Officer, Frontiersman, and Militia. British classes: Royal Infantry, Royal Commander, Jager, Native, and Royal Light Infantry.

DESCRIPTIONS OF CLASSES: The continental soldier and royal infantry are the basic infantry classes equipped with a musket and bayonet and are not anything special. The continental officer and royal commander are equipped with a short ranged pistol and a sword. The jager and frontiersman are equipped with the more accurate rifles. The frontiersman also has a butter knife, while the jager has a sword. The militia and royal light infantry are equipped with muskets that can fire multiple bullets at once, like a shotgun. The royal light infantry have bayonets while the militia have axes. The Native is equipped with a musket and an axe.

This game is really good and realistic. Just like the muskets used in the Revolutionary war, the muskets in the game are not very accurate. The reloading of the muskets are also realistic and will take 5-10 seconds to load. In this game, they also have line battles, which were battles in the Revolutionary war where the opposing forces would line up facing the enemy and fire on commands from the commander. The line battles in this game are really fun, I have personally played in a line battle.

IMPORTANT: This game runs on the source engine by Valve Corporation. You must have a game that runs on this engine beforehand, to download and play Battlegrounds 2. What are the source engine games? You should get them from Steam. Go to http://store.steampowered.com/ to download Steam AND MAKE AN ACCOUNT. Steam is an online store where you can buy digital copies of the game. Once you buy a game you have unlimited copies of that game. BATTLEGROUNDS 2 IS FREE, BUT THE SOURCE ENGINE GAME IS NOT. Now back to my previous question: What are the  source engine games?  Some of them are Day of Defeat: Source, Counterstrike:Source, Half-Life, Half-Life 2, Portal, Team Fortress 2. and more. I recommend you get Half Life 2 and download the Orange Box from the tools menu in Steam. If you want you can search for source engine games on google search. NOW PICK ONE OF THESE GAMES TO BUY OFF STEAM, OR AT LEAST SOMEHOW GET THE GAME ON STEAM, THEN LOOK AT THE DOWNLOAD INSTRUCTIONS.

DOWNLOAD INSTRUCTIONS: Now you might be thinking, "I know how to download anything." Well, you don't.....or maybe you do :).

Kinect is Here

Hello everyone,
For those of you who don't know, the Microsoft Kinect allows the player of the new Xbox 360 to play without a controller. Even though it is really copying Nintendo's idea with the Wii, the Kinect takes the motion sensor to the next level. For the Wii, a controller is needed. The Xbox's Kinect does not need a controller to use the Kinect. If I am mistaken about anything I say, please leave a comment and I will fix the error as soon as I can.

New Xbox 360 Review

Hello everyone, I will be reviewing the new Xbox 360. The new Xbox 360 is definitely better than the old 360 because:

• It has more memory (depends which version you buy, mine had a lot)
• Quieter, because of only one fan (but it is strong to fulfill its duties)
• Touch power button and disk button, a cool new feature
• Slimmer, more compact
• Stylish
• Compatible with Kinect, a new remoteless way of playing on the console
• Comes with headphones
• NO RED RING OF DEATH!!!!!!

I really recommend this console for HARDCORE gamers, ones who have a lot of games and hate the red ring of death. This is a very good console and I have it myself. I have not found any bugs with it.
